Praise God For Canadians.
I just went to have a chat with the Canadian Family that's staying here, I can't tell you how refreshing it was to hear their subtle accent, and self humiliating sarcastic humor. Oh man that was a breath of Fresh air.
There's also a Scottish family here that seems pretty awesome to chat to.
All in all I believe it's going to be a bit of a break from the Cold English Mannerisms I've been catching wind of the past two weeks.
Phew.

Lovely Leigh, there is NOTHING wrong with being miserable in a beautiful place. The most depressing 3 months of my life were when I was living in Florence, Italy, and everything about it was perfect and gorgeous.
As soon as you come back you will feel so good and happy again. This is a good month to reflect on what you love about Chicago and home and your family and friends. You will be overjoyed to see them again in a new way.
In the meantime, let yourself be confused and frustrated and don't feel like you have to be out enjoying your life every second. But also realize that every day is new, and to take it moment by moment instead of one massive month.
Praying for you and hoping that you feel happy right now...

I just read through all your past posts. Sounds like you've been on quite the roller coaster ride. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger though right? A bit cliche but I know I always feel so much better after I successfully put myself through something stressful. Good luck with the frenchies' attitudes :) I hope they give you a break.
